The Paint Bucket is an independently owned and operated business. The store history can be traced back to the 1950's in downtown Manhattan, KS. The store relocated to the west side of Manhattan in 1980. Jim Lumb purchased the paint store from Manhattan Carpet and Interiors in 1995 after having worked for the parent company for 10 years. In January 2005 the store moved to the current location at 618 Fort Riley Blvd, in search of better access and visibility for customers. The store has always catered to the client who wants the job done right with quality products. Our mission is teaching the consumer how to get their job done with professional results. The professional is also welcome, where we stock quality tools and a range of specialty coatings for both industrial jobs and decorative finishes.
